Beach Horseback Ride, Swim & White Water Rafting

Our beach horseback riding tour is an enjoyable two-hour ride with our accomplished and trained guides – who will select a horse to suit your riding ability. The ride commences from the Stables and you are taken through the scenic countryside, passing the tranquil farmlands of the locals living close by. The friendly and humorous guides will tell you about the people and events of the area you ride through – telling the story of Jamaica. Finally the trail ride meanders down to the north coast shoreline and takes you to a private and beautiful beach area. This is where you will get to go bare back riding in the Caribbean sea with your horse. Next, we will visit the historic Rio Bueno River in the lush valley. After going across the “Irie Bridge” and doing a small hike in the rain forest you will be given safety instructions, you and the rest of your co-captains board your raft and enter the fast flowing water. With your tour guide steering the raft from the rear, you use teamwork to paddle through the twists and turns of rushing white-water rapids. Finally, you will paddle to the beach where you can spend some time at the beach and have a cool drink at the bar before returning to your Cruise Ship in Falmouth or resort in Trelawny.

We had a great time in Jamaica with the help of Karandas Tours and our driver (sorry, don’t remember his name). He was friendly and helpful but not overly talkative and that was OK. We were busy applying sunscreen in the van… 🙂
The only thing I wish could have been different was our schedule as we were hurried along at the end of the river tubing and had NO time at the beach. My daughter really wanted a piece of jerk chicken while in Jamaica and was unable to get it because of the timing. I understand this was completely because of the schedule at the horse stable and not under any one else’s control. Had the ship docked earlier, we would have been able to do this excursion in the more “normal” pattern of horse riding first, then river and then beach but oh well – go with the flow and we still had a great time.
You were very helpful and responsive in communicating what we should expect and it was exactly that! No surprises and that’s a great thing! We would definitely look into using your company again if we ever find ourselves in Jamaica again, esp. with the past guest discount. Thank you!
